KeyBear — touch typing for kids
A free app that teaches children to type with all ten fingers. It runs in the browser, needs no sign-in, and every round earns stars.
Three stages
- Meet the keyboard — 15 lessons, a few keys at a time, starting with the two index fingers on F and J.
- Type the marks — 9 lessons covering the Vietnamese tone and shape marks with the Telex input method.
- Build up speed — real words, with the word pool leaning towards the keys the child still fumbles.
Typing speed test
A timed test scores accented Vietnamese properly: a half-finished letter counts as unfinished rather than wrong, which no foreign typing test does.
